A fire in a rotisserie oven temporarily closed the ASDA supermarket in Stowmarket yesterday.
Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service was called to the store, in Iliffe Way, at 3.47pm.
A spokeswoman from the store confirmed the incident had occurred and that it closed the store for “a couple of hours.”
Fire crews from Needham Market and Stowmarket attended the incident and used breathing apparatus and hose reels to extinguish the fire.
Crews had left the scene by 5.01pm and the store was open as normal, albeit without hot chicken, today.
