A man aged in his 80s was freed from his car by firefighters after he was involved in a crash.
Emergency services were called to London Road in Clacton around 10.30am to reports of a collision between a car and a lorry.
Firefighters used cutting equipment to free the man who was “mechanically trapped” in his car, an ambulance spokesman said.
The man was taken to Colchester General Hospital for further treatment but his injuries were not thought to be life-threatening.
