Firefighters were called to a laundrette on fire in Colchester.
The two crews from the town wore breathing gear while combatting the fire with a hose reel.
They were called out to Hesper Road around 6pm and had put out the fire, in a property measuring around 8m by 8m, by 7.15pm.
A ventialation fan was used to clear the laundrette and flats above.
