Luke Chambers’ performance at MK Dons on Saturday has earned the Ipswich Town skipper a place in the Football League’s team of the week.
The Blues captain curled in a precision cross to create Brett Pitman’s goal in the 1-0 away win, before playing his part in a solid defensive effort as the visitors withstood late pressure to earn all three points.
His reward is a place in the back three of the Football League’s team of the week, of which he is one of just two Championship representatives alongside Bristol City goalkeeper Frank Fielding.
Former Ipswich midfidler Conor Hourihane also makes the team, having scored the opener in Barnsley’s 3-2 win at Colchester.
