Ipswich Town defender Josh Yorwerth has completed a one-month loan move to League Two Crawley Town, and could make his Red Devils debut at Newport County tonight.
The 20-year-old has made three appearances for Town, all in the League Cup, since signing in the summer, and impressed up against Wayne Rooney in last week’s 3-0 defeat at Manchester United.
Manager Mick McCarthy has spoken in glowing terms about the Welshman, revealing his performances have been a big plus this season, but is keen to give the former Cardiff City defender a taste of league football further down the pyramid.
Yorwerth becomes the second Town defender to go out on loan to a League Two club, with Matt Clarke impressing at the heart of leaders’ Portsmouth’s rearguard.
