Five people have been arrested in connection with hare coursing in Barnham this morning.
Police were called at 11am to reports of people believed to be hunting with dogs in a field close to Bury Road.
Officers attended the scene and arrested five people on suspicion of hare coursing.
They are a 21-year-old man from Hailsham, East Sussex; a 22-year-old man from Dartford, Kent; an 18-year-old man from near Sittingbourne, Kent; a 21-year-old man and a 16-year-old boy, both from near Ashford, Kent.
They have all been taken to Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre where they will be questioned.
