A broken down freight train has caused delays of more than an hour to services on the Great Eastern Main Line.
The incident occurred on the up (London-bound) line between Ipswich and Manningtree stations this morning.
The first passenger train affected was the 10.52am Ipswich to London Liverpool Street service and the 10.30am service to the capital from Norwich.
Disruption is expected to last until around 1pm.
A rescue locomotive is being prepared at Ipswich to go and assist the broken-down train but this may take until 12.15am to complete, according to the website of passenger operator Abellio Greater Anglia.
The company apologised to anyone whose travel plans have been affected by the incident.
