Organisers of an annual fete are celebrating a “brilliant” event and looking forward to repeating its success next year.
Despite a blustery start to proceedings in Clopton, the event attracted a good crowd and raised a welcome sum for two local causes.
The event included stalls, live music, face painting, bouncy castles and dancing demonstrations, with fete goers encouraged have a go themselves.
The fete committee’s Penny Moon said: “It was one of those brilliant days. Stallholders were asking to come back next year as they were packing up at the end of the day. There was such a lovely atmosphere. We’re a small fete but people have a lot of fun.”
A percentage of profits from this year’s fete will be donated to St Elizabeth Hospice and East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH).
