A man in his 50s had his heart restarted by paramedics after suffering a cardiac arrest while cycling.
The incident happened just after 6.15pm yesterday in the Lowestoft area.
The Suffolk Accident Rescue Service sent a critical care paramedic (CCP) to assist the East of England Ambulance Service in treating the patient.
The CCP was able to give drugs to the casualty and used a specialist automated chest compression device to restart the patient’s heart.
He was then taken to the James Paget Hospital for further treatment.
