A member of staff was punched by a thief after a Cerema frying pan was stolen from a shop in Beccles.
The incident happened at around 6pm yesterday, in New Market.
The man, who stole the frying pan, was followed by a member of staff who stopped him.
Shortly after a second member of staff came out from the shop and was punched on the back by the offender.
The member of staff, a man, was not injured, and officers are now attempting to trace the offender.
He is described as aged in his late 20s, around 5ft 8in tall, of medium build, with short blonde hair which is shaven at the sides, with tattoos on his hands. He was wearing three-quarter length jeans, black trainers and a dark hoody.
