Police are currently investigating the death of a man in Ipswich yesterday.
Officers received a call from the ambulance service just before 5pm on Saturday reporting that a man had been found unconscious on St Matthew’s Street.
Emergency services attended but the man was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
The death is currently being treated as unexplained.
Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to call 101 and quote reference number 340 of today’s date.
On Tuesday a 17-year-old was arrested after armed police officers were called to St Matthews Street at 4.20am following reports that a group of men had been seen with a weapon.
A hand gun, believed to be gas-powered, was recovered at the scene.
It is not thought the two incidents are related.
