Ipswich Town are interesting taking Leicester City striker Tom Lawrence on loan in January, according to reports.

Lawrence joined the Foxes on a four-year deal from Manchester United on transfer deadline day and, seen as one for the future by Nigel Pearson, has impressed for the Midlands club’s under-21s team

Blackburn and Cardiff are also thought to be interested in the Wales Under-21 international.

Lawrence scored five goals in 28 appearances whilst on loan at Carlisle and Yeovil and made one Premier League start for the Red Devils.

Meanwhile, Tommy Smith played for New Zealand in the All Whites’ 1-1 draw with China over the weekend.
