Firefighters tackled a blaze in a first floor flat in Walton, Essex this morning.
Two crews from Frinton attended the fire in The Parade at 2.41am.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used one hose reel to extinguish the blaze by 3am.
They used a thermal imaging camera to check for remaining hotspots in the heavily smoke-logged flat.
