Two men who were being questioned by police in relation to the murder of Colchester man James Attfield have had their bail extended.
The two 33-year-olds, of no fixed address, are now due to report back to police on Friday, October 17, a spokesman for the force said.
Mr Attfield was discovered in Castle Park with 102 stab wounds in the early hours of Saturday, March 29. Nine people have so far been arrested in connection with the incident.
On Monday, an 18-year-old man of no fixed address, a 25-year-old woman from Southend and a 23-year-old woman from Ipswich were all bailed, pending further police inquiries, until Wednesday, October 15.
A 31-year-old man arrested on August 7 has also been bailed until September 23. Three other people, also arrested in connection with the murder, have been bailed until September 24. They are a 57-year-old man, a 27-year-old woman and a 27-year-old man. They are all from Colchester.
