Work has started on an ambitious project for a new library at Culford School.
Earlier this month, Culford’s headmaster Julian Johnson-Munday broke ground on the £2.2million project.
He said: “We are thrilled and delighted that this exciting project is now under way. A library should be at the heart of every place of learning and this wonderful new facility will be hugely beneficial to Culford’s pupils and the local community.”
The library will provide Culford with a suite of new study facilities, including flexible study areas, an 80-seat lecture theatre for talks from teachers, authors and visiting speakers, more than 10,000 books and state-of-the art internet access.
It will be available at selected times for the local community to use.
