A riverside art gallery and studio is set to reopen after December’s tidal surge caused £60,000 worth of damage to the building.
Woodbridge Art Club was one of the properties in Tide Mill Way which were badly hit by flooding.
With the support of club members, and professional help from insurers and local builders, the site has almost been returned to normal – and the club is also due to install new flood defences in an attempt to prevent, or at least limit, any future flood damage.
Repair and restoration work has now been completed and the club will reopen with an exhibition from 10am-6pm on Saturday, August 30 and Sunday, August 31. It will then open every weekend until December 7 – staying open through September and October having been closed for most of the summer.
It will also be involved in Maritime Woodbridge on September 13 and 14.
