A Felixstowe man has been charged with attempted rape following an incident in Stowmarket.
Tommy Rooney, 21, has been charged for an incident which took place at around midday on Tuesday June 17 on a footpath between Windermere Road and Curwen Road near to some garages.
A woman, 20, was walking along the path when she was approached by a male who grabbed and sexually assaulted her.
Rooney was arrested yesterday, and will appear at South East Suffolk Magistrates’ Court tomorrow morning.
He has been remanded in custody overnight.
