Former students, governors and families affiliated with an independent school in east Suffolk had a “thoroughly enjoyable evening” raising funds for an anniversary appeal.
Framlingham College’s Charter Ball has been hailed as a “great success” after raising more than £16,000 to support investment in the school and its junior partner Brandeston Hall. It formed part of a calendar of events leading up to the 150th anniversary of the college in 2015, which aims to raise £2m for new facilities.
Paul Taylor, headmaster at Framlingham College, has thanked the Kerr family for donating the use of Easton Grange – the “quite superb” venue for the evening.
“We are hugely grateful to the ball committee, whose tireless work under the leadership of Mel Dellow made the evening the success it undoubtedly was,” Mr Taylor added.
Further thanks have been given to those who provided auction prizes and to all who attended the event.
