Detectives in Braintree investigating a robbery that occurred in Weavers Park on November 28 are appealing for witnesses or any other information.
Two men, not known to the victim, approached a 20-year-old local man from behind around 9.20pm, swung a punch at him and tripped him.
When he fell over they kicked him several times before removing his wallet from his trouser pocket. The victim sustained minor injuries and his wallet only contained a small sum of cash and cards.
One of the suspects was wearing grey jogging bottoms, a darker coloured hoodie and was of average height.
Anyone with any information is asked to contact Dc Shelley Tarling, Braintree CID on 101 or via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
