There will be laughter in one church’s aisles as famous comedy duo Cannon and Ball perform their unique service in Suffolk.
Comedians Tommy Cannon and Bobby Ball, whose television show regularly drew in 15-18million people in the 1980s and early 90s, are bringing their celebratory show to Mildenhall Baptist Church on Sunday, November 3.
Mr Ball became a Christian in 1986, with Mr Cannon following suit eight years later. The pair now use their comedic talents to talk about their faith with congregations across the country.
Mr Ball said: “We want to show people that being a Christian is not boring. In fact, it is the opposite – it’s great!
“God wants us to have fun and laugh and enjoy this wonderful life he has given us.”
The performance, which is being sponsored by Mildenhall Churches Together, starts at 7.30pm at the church in Market Place, Mildenhall.
Tickets for £7 are still available from the King’s Project store in Market Street from 10am to noon Monday to Friday, and at the Cottage Rooms by St Mary’s Church on Fridays from 11am-3pm.
You can also get tickets from the Rev Sue Leathley by calling 01638 711930.
