A post-mortem examination on the body of young mum Kirsty Humphrey who was found dead at a flat in Colchester has been held.
It showed a provisional cause of death as being stab wounds to the neck and chest.
Miss Humphrey’s body was found in a flat in Queen Elizabeth Way on Wednesday morning.
A 24-year-old man from Colchester continues to be held in custody on suspicion of her murder.
The murder investigation being led by DCI Simon Werrett of the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate is continuing.
