A man was stabbed after trying to stop an argument between two other men.
The incident happened in Benezet Street, Ipswich, at around 4.45pm on Saturday.
The 38-year-old man was attempting to put a stop to the disagreement when a group of men approached him from behind.
The victim was stabbed with what is believed to be a key causing a small puncture wound.
He was taken to hospital where he received treatment for his injuries.
The offender was male, aged 30 to 35, of slim build, around 5ft 9ins and was wearing a white T-shirt and flip flops.
