Judges were thrilled with the quality of exhibits at one of the area’s premier summer flower and produce shows as gardeners overcame a challenging growing season.
Around 40 members of the Felixstowe and District Horticultural Society submitted about 400 entries for the society’s two-day show at the resort’s leisure centre.
Jeremy Pratt, joint show manager with his wife Angela, said while entries were slightly down on last year, the quality was excellent.
He said: “The judges were very complimentary and said the quality was brilliant.
“We are very pleased. The roses and hanging baskets especially were fantastic.
“It has been tough for gardeners with the very cold spring and then the recent hot weather as they prepared for the show.”
