A man who caused massive disruption for passengers in a seven hour stand-off at Ipswich railway station is to be sentenced at crown court.
Mantas Badauskas, 25, of Lithuania, pleaded guilty to obstruction without intent when he appeared before South East Suffolk Magistrates Court this morning.
Thousands of passengers were unable to travel by rail on Friday after Badauskas climbed on to a roof to the right of the main building at around 8am.
The financial cost to train company Greater Anglia of not being able to run its services was said to be in excess of £1million.
Police, firefighters and paramedics were all sent to the scene. However, Badauskas remained on the roof until getting down just after 3pm.
Magistrates committed his case to Ipswich Crown Court as they felt their sentencing powers were insufficient.
