A pedestrian has been airlifted to hospital with head injuries after being hit by a car, police have said.
A woman in her 30s was hit by a car in Calais Street, Hadleigh, in a collision which involved five vehicles at around 1.55pm today, a Suffolk Police spokesman said.
She was treated by medics on the scene before an Essex & Herts Air Ambulance crew took her to hospital, believed to be Addenbrooke’s in Cambridge. She suffered head injuries not thought to be life-threatening.
There were no other reports of injuries at the scene.
The cars involved in the collision were a green Jaguar, a silver Toyota Avensis, a red Peugeot 406, a black BMW and a silver Peugeot 307.
All other people involved in the incident were “conscious and breathing,” the Suffolk Police spokesman added.
