Ipswich Town’s players returned to pre-season training on Monday morning, with 41 days to go until the Blues’ Championship opener at Reading.
The Town stars, led by fitness coach Andy Liddle, embarked on some light running early on before getting down to some tactical work with manager, Mick McCarthy, who also spoke to the media.
Among the players training were Town’s four new signings to date, David McGoldrick, Daryl Murphy, Cole Skuse and Jay Tabb.
Transfer-listed striker Michael Chopra was also in attendance but Jay Emmanuel-Thomas (illness) and Carlos Edwards (international duty) were absent.
Don’t miss interviews with Mick McCarthy in Tuesday’s Ipswich Star and East Anglian Daily Times.
