An Ipswich man charged with 13 offences is due to appear in court today.

Lee McLaughlin, of no fixed abode but previously from the Ipswich area, is set to appear before South East Suffolk Magistrates Court today.

McLaughlin was charged with 11 offences of theft from a shop which relate to incidents that happened between Sunday, March 10 and Wednesday, May 29 where a variety of meat, coffee, air fresheners, electrical tools and confectionary were stolen.

He is also charged with one offence of common assault, which relates to an incident on Wednesday, May 29 that happened in a shop in Bramford Lane, where a 25-year-old man was assaulted but sustained no injuries.

McLaughlin is also charged with one drug related offence.
