FIREFIGHTERS tackled a raging car fire on the A14 last night.
Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service sent two crews to the westbound carriageway just before the Whitehouse junction on the A14 at 6pm.
Crews found a Vauxhall Corsa on the verge was well alight and used two hose reels to bring the flames under control.
A Suffolk police spokesman said the vehicle was “totally burnt out”.
A rolling road block was put in place while fire crews tackled the flames and cleared fuel from the road.
