A TOP mathematics team from a Suffolk school have pitted their brains against the best in the country.
Pupils from Stowmarket Middle School have been competing in a national competition where they finished as the highest state school in the opening round.
Duo Lars Mardell and Luke Smith were joined by former pupils Chris Hayward and Nathaniel Smalley who were guest members of the team.
The competition, which was organised by the Mathematics Trust, was the regional round of the competition, the Team Maths Challenge.
