A MAN was taken to hospital after being stabbed in Ipswich last night.
Police were called at about 7.10pm to Wellington Street, near Norwich Road, to reports a man had been stabbed in his leg.
A spokeswoman for the East of England Ambulance Service said the injuries were not life-threatening.
She said: “We were called to the outside of the YMCA. The patient, a man in his 40s, had been stabbed in the leg. He has been taken to Ipswich Hospital and he was conscious and breathing. The duty officer went to hospital with him because of the nature of the incident.”
Officers believe the men wanted for the stabbing were linked to an earlier robbery in Anglesea Road.
A spokesman for Suffolk police said they were looking for four men who were wearing hoodies and jeans.
