A BURST water main which threatened to leave 80 homes in Braiswick, Colchester without water supply this afternoon has been fixed.
An Anglian Water spokesman confirmed engineers had dealt with the problem by 3.10pm after it was first reported at around 8am.
No water supplies were switched off during the engineering work. It had been initially feared 80 properties would be cut off from during the afternoon.
Temporary two-way traffic lights on the B1508 Braiswick near the Baker’s Lane junction will remain set up until Thursday while engineers complete restoration works.
