WORLD-famous jam-makers Wilkin & Sons will feature in a BBC programme on Sunday which examines the challenges facing fruit farmers during a year of unusual weather.
Weather forecaster Julie Reinger visited Tiptree to meet Chris Newenham, farm director of Wilkin & Sons, to talk about early sun, late damaging frosts and drought, followed by heavy rain which produced mixed results.
Wild Weather in 2012 broadcasts at 5.30pm and will look back through the weather headlines of 2012.
