POLICE are on alert after the Environment Agency issued a flood warning for the Essex and Suffolk coasts.
The agency said bad weather could cause flooding on the coast between Felixstowe and Clacton, and along the Orwell and Stour estuaries.
High tide is at 1.18am on Wednesday morning and the flood warning extends to 3.18 am.
Police are also on alert in case high winds, predicted to reach up to 60mph, affect operations at Felixstowe port.
