A CROWD of fundraisers formed a pink procession as this year’s Race for Life set off from Colchester’s Castle Park.
The event, which had been postponed following cancellation due to bad weather in July, was held in far more favourable conditions for the sponsored participants - many with stories of how cancer has affected their lives and the lives of loved-ones.
Organised for women by Cancer Research UK, the race saw friends, relatives and individuals run, jog and walk the five kilometre course starting from Lower Castle Park.
The event had been scheduled for July but was cancelled when persistent rain led to a waterlogged course.
