A GROUP of scaled-down seafarers met around a Suffolk boating pond to become model mariners for the day.
The Woodbridge Model Boat Club held a steam and power boat event in the town as part of ongoing 30th anniversary celebrations.
Members provided a variety of models ranging from submarines and warships, to steam tugs and paddle steamers.
Mike Hawthorne, honorary secretary, said: “We had keen interest from members of the public and the event was judged to be a great success.”
The club is expanding its scale modeller members and next year plans to run regular power boat events on the pond, as well as racing radio-controlled model yachts.
