THE body of a man who was found by police earlier today has been formally identified as that of Clacton man David Royle.
A widespread search was carried out after he went missing from Clacton Hospital.
The 66-year-old was last seen on Friday, September 28 in the Boley Drive area of the town.
At midday today his body was found by police off Holland Haven with help from the force’s Air Support Unit.
There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death and an inquest will take place in due course.
