THREE men from Halstead in Essex arrested on suspicion of possession of cannabis with intent to supply after police stopped a car on the A12 have been bailed.
Special Constables from Suffolk Police stopped a black Ford Sierra on the A12 at Brightwell yesterday evening.
The officers, on routine patrol in the Woodbridge area, stopped the vehicle around 8.30pm and approached to talk to the occupants.
A strong smell of cannabis then became apparent and the vehicle and occupants were searched. Items including 25 small bags of a green leaf substance were recovered.
The three – a 26-year-old, a 23-year-old and a 19-year-old – have been released on bail and due to return to Bury St Edmunds Police Station on October 3.
