A MAN has been taken to hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries after he fell down a flight of stairs in Rope Walk, Ipswich.
Paramedics were called to the scene shortly after 8pm following reports of the incident, which involved a man who is believed to be in his 40s.
The Essex Air Ambulance was also called to the scene but it was not needed.
A spokeswoman for the East of England Ambulance Service said the man was stabilised and taken to hospital by land ambulance at about 9pm.
she added: “It looks like he has sustained quite serious injuries.”
