A BUSY town centre road has reopened after a three-vehicle accident but queueing traffic remains.
Emergency services were scrambled to Crown Street at 2.30pm after the accident which involved a black Ford Fiesta, a blue Ford Escort and a white Isuzu truck.
Crown Street, High Street and Fonnereau Road are all affected by queuing traffic as a result of the collision.
A Suffolk police spokeswoman said firefighters had to cut the roof off one of the vehicles.
East of England Ambulance Service spokeswoman Lorna Marsh said: “A woman in her 40s was trapped, conscious and breathing with non-serious injuries.”
She was taken by ambulance to Ipswich Hospital for further treatment.
