ORGANISERS of Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life have cancelled a second race due to take place near Bury St Edmunds at 2pm today, due to torrential rain earlier this morning.
A first race took place in Nowton Park at 11am as scheduled, but the decision to call off the afternoon’s event at the same venue was made because the route around the park had become slippery and unsafe.
