EMERGENCY services have confirmed that a man has died in an accident between a car and the motorcycle he was riding.
A spokeswoman for the ambulance service said they were called at 3.54pm to a 32-year-old man who is understood to have suffered a heart attack following the accident on the A12 at Martlesham, near Woodbridge.
She said despite the best efforts of the clinical team caring for him, attempts to resuscitate the motorcyclist were unsuccessful.
A spokeswoman for the police said the road was still closed.
She said the accident had happened on the A12 northbound, near the turning for Seckford Hall Hotel.
She said the air ambulance transported the motorcyclist to Ipswich Hospital.
