POLICE have today named the woman who died after colliding with a car near Braintree last night.
She was Nimmi Shah of Beadon Drive, Braintree.
The 38-year-old pedestrian collided with a red Renault Clio on a slip road of the A120 around 7.30pm on Wednesday.
It happened at the bottom of the slip road on the eastbound carriageway near the junction with London Road.
The victim was taken to Broomfield Hospital but she died later of her injuries.
The man driving the car, 21, who lives in the Braintree area, was not injured.
Part of the road was sealed off for three hours while forensic collision investigators tried to establish what caused the crash.
