IPSWICH Town scout Andy King has left the club less than a month after joining the club – moving to Northampton Town to become assistant manager to newly appointed boss Aidy Boothroyd.
Boothroyd took over at Sixfields yesterday, with previous incumbent Gary Johnson having left the club following a poor run of results in League Two.
Former Everton midfielder King, who was only appointed to his role at Portman Road at the same time as former Bolton defender Mark Seagraves, previously worked alongside Boothroyd as his chief scout at Colchester United.
