FIRE crews tackled a bonfire which was burning out of control, putting nearby farm buildings at risk.
The incident was reported at 2.40pm near a chicken shed at Pixey Green, Stradbroke.
Two crews from Stradbroke and Eye attended the scene and used a hose reel to get the flames under control, turning the ashes over with the farmer’s tractor to check for remaining hotspots.
They managed to get the fire under control by 3.30pm.
