THE unbelievable Balancing Barn is just one of the region’s outstanding examples of architecture which have been recognised as some of the best in Britain today.
Eight innovative buildings in the eastern region have today won national awards from the Royal Institute of British Architects.
The winners include the Balancing Barn in Thorington, the 78.5million Apex and Arc centre in Bury St Edmunds, and the privately-owned Bavent House in Reydon.
Louise Todd, East of England director for RIBA, said: “I was privileged to visit all of the buildings with the awards jury and came away inspired by the solutions architects, working closely with their clients, had brought to each individual project.
“My warm congratulations go to the architects and clients on their success in this year’s awards – it is well deserved.”
