FIREFIGHTERS in Essex have tackled a house blaze this evening.
The fire took hold of a chimney at a home in Walton-on-the-Naze at about 10pm.
Two crews from Frinton and two from Clacton were alerted.
They discovered the fire had started in the chimney and spread the the roof of the building.
Crews contained the blaze to the chimney and had the fire under control by 10.45pm.
A spokesman for the brigade said all persons inside the house were accounted for.
