A PARAMEDIC is in hospital today after a crash between his rapid response car and another vehicle.
The collision happened in Leiston just before 2.45pm today when the paramedic car was on its way to a 999 call in Thorpeness.
He suffered minor injuries and has been taken to Ipswich Hospital for treatment, while a man and two children who were in the other car have escaped unharmed.
Fire engines from Leiston and Aldeburgh attended the incident in Waterloo Avenue to make the scene safe.
A spokesman for the East of England ambulance service confirmed an internal investigation has been launched into the cause of the crash, in accordance with Trust policy.
