DAVID Norris is having a scan this afternoon, to reveal the extent of his injury, but he looks certain to at least miss Ipswich Town’s next couple of games.

Norris hobbled off after just 15 minutes at Barnsley on Saturday. He twisted his ankle and knee in a midfield challenge on nine minutes, and tried unsuccessfully to run the injury off.

“David was very sore yesterday, and he is having a scan as we speak,” revealed manager Paul Jewell at this lunchtime’s press conference.

“It has felt a little easier today, but I would think he is likely to be out for the immediate next few games.”

Town are unbeaten in their last four league matches, with three wins and a 1-1 draw at Barnsley on Saturday.

Norris is their leading scorer with nine goals.
