SUDBURY: Police make third arrest in connection with Sudbury muggings
POLICE have arrested a third man in connection with three robberies which happened in Sudbury before Christmas.
On the evening of Wednesday December 22 a woman was assaulted and robbed of her handbag and phone in Suffolk Square, before a man was found collapsed in Newton Road later that night. He had also been assaulted and personal items were missing.
Then, in the early hours of Christmas Eve, a man was assaulted and robbed of his mobile phone on Cornard Road.
Yesterday afternoon, Wednesday 29th December, two men were arrested at an address in Station Road in Sudbury – the men, aged 27 and 25 and both from Sudbury, remain in custody at Bury St Edmunds Police Station this morning.
Yesterday evening a 27-year-old man from Sudbury was arrested in Burroughs Piece Road.
He has been interviewed and released on police bail to return to Bury St Edmunds Police Station on February 12.
