BURGLARS broke into a couple’s home and then forces to hand over valuables before being tied up in their bedroom.
Detectives are this morning urging anybody with information about the burglary, which happened at a property in Euston, near Thetford, last night, to come forward.
A police spokeswoman told how two men forced their way into the home through a window at about 9.30pm last night.
The occupants - a man and a woman - were threatened.
“The couple were separated by the men and made to go around the house turning over jewellery and other possessions,” she said. “They were then restrained in their bedroom and further antique items were stolen before the men left after 10.30pm.
“Neither the man nor the woman were hurt.”
A blue Volvo was stolen from outside the house but was later found abandoned nearby in the village.
The first burglar was white, in his late 30s, of slim build and between 5ft 6in and 5ft 8in tall. He wore a dark-coloured hooded top with the hood up and gloves, and spoke with a London or Essex accent.
The second was white, younger than the first man and taller. He had a pallid complexion and short dark hair, and was wearing a black hooded top with the hood up.
Police want to hear from anyone who may have seen any suspicious persons or vehicles in Euston yesterday evening, or may have any information about this incident.
Anybody with information should call Det Sgt Carl Dye at West Suffolk CID on 01473 613500 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
